Help Me Help You (HMHY) offers vendors, with services that can benefit our Grocery Grab N Go (GGNG) clients, the opportunity to table/display at 10 of our Long Beach locations and include information in our Long Beach Food Pantry Delivery grocery bags.

HMHY provides free groceries to all residents in need via 11 Nutrition Knights Grocery Grab N Go, Long Beach locations, a home delivery service to seniors and disabled in need; as well as free enrollment services to community programs including CalFesh. Each month HMHY services approximately 5,500 individuals. Services focus on seniors; children; single mothers; disabled individuals; veterans; and the homeless. HMHY works to reduce hunger and poverty, improve nutrition and health, boost family economic security, as well as motivate and transition residents from lives of poverty to self-sufficiency.

ABOUT NUTRITION KNIGHTS GROCERY GRAB N GO

Each week HMHY provides free fresh and packaged groceries as well as community service information via approximately 11 Grocery Grab N Go school and community locations (servicing Long Beach Districts 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9) on Wednesdays and Fridays. Once a month, HMHY also operates a Saturday food pantry. Our Grocery Grab N Go events are promoted via HMHY and community social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and newsletters), sponsor databases, and community mailing lists including Long Beach USD; churches, community centers, schools, etc.

 

VENDOR PARTICIPATION

HMHY receives regular requests from vendors to display and participate in Nutrition Knights GGNG locations and strives to ensure vendors have similar goals to benefit their clients.

Vendors Opportunities:
1. Display table at 10 GGNG locations for a month (7 school and 3 community locations) – reach approximately 5,500 individuals.

2. The option to include promotional flyers or brochures in grocery bags.

3. Vendor promotional flyer in Long Beach Food Pantry Delivery groceries to reach seniors in their homes

4. Vendor participation promoted on HMHY Social Media channels (for an additional fee).

 

Vendor Guidelines:

1. All distributed information must be approved by HMHY prior to participating.

2. Vendors must supply all display equipment and clean their area after the events.

3. Vendor must supply all their printed materials to HMHY for distribution a week in advance.

4. Vendors must adhere to the operating hours of the Grocery Grab N Go.

5. The vendor is encouraged to supply special offers to HMHY customers.

6. All printed materials distributed must state: “Not affiliated or endorsed by Help Me Help You”.

7. No “hard sell” to clients at events: Vendors may offer information or services to interested parties as per clients’ needs and should not approach clients who are not interested.

8. Vendors cannot promote services HMHY already offers to clients including (free groceries, CalFresh, MediCal, Social Security, and General Relief).

9. Participation should be promoted on the vendor's social media channels.

10. A $500 fee to Help Me Help You is required to secure your spot a week in advance of commencement.

11. For social media promotion, an additional $200 payment is required.
