The Nutrition & Wellness Education Center

The Nutrition and Wellness Education Center (NWEC) is dedicated to the goal of improving the health, education and welfare of the local community.   This program is a natural extension of our Food Pantry program which strives to provide a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables for clients.   The Health Education component is directed towards undeserved members of the community, including the poor, homeless, and any routinely marginalized segments of the population who all too often fall through the gaps in the public health system.

Services include:
Nutrition Education
Weight & Obesity Management Education
Basic Health Screenings
Cooking and Recipe Tips and Samples
Health Services referrals and more...

Schedule:
Health Education Courses are taught every Wed at 8:30am and 9:00am @ Food Pantry
Health Screening Services are provided by Charter College Students every Weds @ Food Pantry
